3. Staff Perks
Staff incentives in the form of Staff Perks have proven popular with our digital workforce. They are generally a good method of attracting and retaining employees as they are not related to productivity and we have seen that perks encourage our staffs’ attachment to our business. The key value is that Perks are benefits on top of basic salary and not determined upon the individuals performance.
I selected Perkbox as our staff incentive system in order to save our staff money on day-to-day items and add a little extra to their social lives. It costs £7 per head, with no min or maximum numbers and is based on a 12 month contract.
It is set up as an employee portal with your businesses branding and is completely tailored to your business with your logo, colour scheme, your branded emails and more. There are thousands of companies signed up and perks such as:
- Free mobile insurance
- Half price meals with Tastecard
- Half price cinema tickets
- Supermarket discounts
- Retailer discounts and exclusive offers and
- With 100s of perks and more added every day
By offering our employees the best in market benefits that help their monthly salaries go a little further it gives our team a little more freedom financially and benefits their personal wellbeing.
Because of the nature of the perks available on Perkbox you can treat the benefit as exempt under ‘de minimis’ grounds. Alternatively you can add them to the employee’s P11D.
My team love these perks and use them to add financial value and to enhance their personal time.
